This medication is also used to treat acid-related gastritis (inflammation of the stomach wall caused by acid reflux treatment) and to prevent heartburn associated with antacid therapy.
Nexium 24HR Once Daily Dosing Tablets contains the active ingredient esomeprazole 20 mg. It is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that works by blocking the production of acid in the stomach cells. Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that is used to treat stomach ulcers caused by stomach acid. The medicine may be used alone or in combination with other treatments.
